<span class="paragraphSection">Where resources are limited (they always are), it is important to use them efficiently for maximum effect. This is especially true for the delivery of occupational health services. Evidence for the effectiveness of many occupational health activities is lacking. But even where evidence of little or no benefit exists, we often seem constrained to continue with out-dated practices at the expense of truly value-adding activities. <span style="font-style:italic;">Occupational Medicine</span> aims to present robust research evidence to support the effective and efficient delivery of modern occupational health services.</span>
